Automotive Skills Center & Hobby Shop

Family and MWR’s Automotive Skills Program provides you with a modern working environment complete with individual work bays, state-of-the-art mechanical tools and a team of qualified and trained staff ready to help.

The Automotive Skills Center Hobby Shop is your resource for maintaining your vehicle, making minor and major repairs or restoring that classic in the garage. Customers are eligible to utilize the work bays, tools, machinery and diagnostic equipment free of charge.

Replacement parts are available for purchase on-site and we offer various computer systems available to access vehicle-specific diagrams and how-to-information online. We boast our affordability, tax-free services, and competitive pricing in comparison to off-post service garages.

The Automotive Skills Program is accessible to all eligible patrons, regardless of skill level or training (see Eligibility below). Customers unfamiliar with vehicle repair may request an appointment to have a one-on-one training or take a class taught by certified mechanics. Vehicle enthusiasts and car hobbyists have access to complex equipment for making major repairs such as overhauling an engine.
