Voluntary Protection Program

VPP logo

The Voluntary Protection Program (VPP) promotes effective worksite based safety and health.

In the VPP, management, labor, and OSHA establish a cooperative relationship at a workplace that has implemented a comprehensive safety and health management system. Approval into VPP is OSHA's official recognition of the outstanding efforts of employers and employees who have achieved exemplary occupational safety and health.

At the HDIFC, we are proud of our efforts to support VPP.

  • In October 2007, we were accepted into the OSHA Challenge Pilot
  • In March 2013, we were approved for our first star rating
  • In April 2017, we received our star recertification

We have five committees, in addition to the steering committee, that lead efforts for employee involvement and the maintaining of our star status. All of our committees are always on the lookout for expanding membership, and increasing involvement.

  • Blitz Committee -
  • Ergonomics Committee -
  • Marketing Commitee -
  • Safety and Occupational Health Committee -
  • Wellness Committee -
