Come Join MWR Nature Hike Club at Atwater Loop-Al Sabo Preserve for some fresh air on August 10, 2024, starting at 2:00 PM. The Hike Club meets once a month to spend some time in nature while getting some exercise. 

Access to the Al Sabo Preserve is gained through an entrance on Texas Drive, near the intersection of Texas and 10th Avenue. A parking lot for Al Sabo Preserve is located next to the Texas Drive entrance to Camp Rota-Kiwan. Generally, this trail is considered an easy route, it takes an average of 1h 30 min to complete. This is a popular trail for birding, cross-country skiing, and hiking. It unlikely you’ll encounter many other people while exploring. MWR Battle Creek Hike Club meets once a month. Each hike will be at a different trailhead to make each hike a unique experience.

Make sure to bring your own water bottle and dress for the weather. Feel free to invite your friends and family to join us for some fresh air.
