Qualified Recycling Program

Recycling is an essential part of the Federal Government's overall plan for reducing the amount of waste the nation generates. It turns materials that would otherwise become wasted into valuable resources and generates a host of environmental, financial, and social benefits. The Qualified Recycling Program (QRP) is a special kind of recycling program established by an installation in accordance with specific statutory, regulatory, and DOD requirements to collect and sell directly qualified or authorized recyclable scrap materials and retain the same proceeds for use as prescribed in law and regulations.

QRP generated monies can be used to help support MWR, CWF and Safety/Environmental programs here at San Joaquin. QRP funds have assisted in the success of Employee Appreciation day and the quarterly health and wellness newsletter.
